Provides administrative leadership using principles of supervision, reflective practice and staff development to provide primary support and appropriate oversight to the nurse home visitors, and to build and model a strength-based, client-centered culture. Works within the local community and lead agency structure to ensure the Nurse Family Partnership Program is implemented in accordance with established guidelines and contract requirements.

Education:
- Must have a Bachelor¿s degree in Nursing. Master¿s degree preferred.

Experience:
- Must have four years of experience in maternal/child heath, public health, or home visiting. Must have one year of experience in a progressively responsible supervisory role.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
- Must have and maintain current RN license or valid temporary license with the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.
- Must have and maintain current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from one of the following:
o American Heart Association
o American Red Cross Rescuer
o Military Training Network.

Required Tests for Placement:
- Applicants must pass (85% or above) Dosage Calculation Exam prior to hospital orientation. Current Parkland employees requesting reassignment to role must have current Dosage Calculation Exam on file.

Skills or Special Abilities:
- Provides care to assigned patient population in accordance with the current State of Texas Nursing Practice Act, established protocols, multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area specific standards.
- Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of patients, families and healthcare staff.
- Must be able to demonstrate effective supervisory and management skills and techniques.
- Must be effective in working independently and capable of leadership.
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of PC operations and the ability to use word processing software in a Windows environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the laws and regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid and community-based funding sources.
- Must be self-directed and capable of priority setting and problem solving.
- Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
- Must have general knowledge about prenatal, post partum, infant, and toddler physical assessment.
