Manages the planning, development, promotion, and implementation of a cost-effective Occupational Health program in order to provide Parkland with a healthy work force.


  • Ensures HIPAA compliance with Occupational Health records maintenance, retrieval and storage. Coaches team and internal customers on HIPAA regulatory guidelines related to Employee Health records.   
  • Manages implementation of required employee annual TB screening, monthly TB mask fit sessions, and annual flu vaccine campaigns.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of Occupational Health projects ensuring monitoring of status and execution.
  • Annually reviews Occupational Health policies and develops new protocols/procedures covering the delivery of care to ensure Parkland maintains a healthy workforce.
  • M anages the preparation, distribution and maintenance of health data, records, and reports to ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained and communicated to internal and external contacts as needed.
  • Develops and publishes reports, dashboards, pivot tables, spreadsheets, charts and graphs and/or presentations in support of projects and programs.

Experience Requirements


  • Extensive experience with developing and managing return-to-work and light duty programs.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of workers’ compensation statutes, case management and litigation
  • Knowledge and experience with disability management, basic ergonomics, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation statutes and all regulatory requirements.


  • Master's degree


Required Certifications / Licensure

  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.
  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.
  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

Preferred Certifications / Licensure

  • Current license in a clinical discipline (RN, RT, PT, OT, etc.).


Equivalent Education and/or Experience


  • May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
