PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Senior Facilities Program Manager-Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment manages the planning, design and construction activities associated with Parkland to ensure the District's mission, goals, applicable laws and the user's needs are met.

 

Minimum Specifications

 

Education:

  • Must have a Bachelor-s Degree in Interior Design or Associates with equivalent years in experience.

 

Experience:

  • Must have eight (8) years healthcare design experience including elements of program management for owner representation.
  • Must have large acute care hospital design experience.

 

Equivalent Education and/or Experience:

  • May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.

 

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

  • NCIDQ certification for The State of Texas
  • AAHID certification preferred.

 

Skills or Special Abilities:

  • Must have demonstrated skill in managing space planning, interiors, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E), wayfinding programs and art programs.
  • Must have the ability to manage complex project budgets.
  • Must be able to effectively lead internal clients and consultants to a single vision and manage relationships.
  • Must have extensive healthcare furnishing and finish knowledge.
  • Must have knowledge of current city, state, federal laws and regulations as they apply to health care projects.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have general knowledge of AUTOCAD and/or Revit (or both)
  • Must have ability to work with end users as liaison and advocate for best design outcome.
