Primary Purpose

Manages the day to day operations and team members who work in Talent Acquisition to provide a proactive supply of candidates for open positions across the Parkland system.

 

Minimum Specifications

 

Education

  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree with at least eight (8) years of professional work experience

 

Experience

  • 3-5 years Talent Acquisition leadership experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Must have two (2) years of social media and marketing experience and be proficient in gathering event data/metrics and reporting the ROI, back to the business
  • Must have experience in the design and implementation of recruitment strategies and be familiar with various Applicant Tracking Systems to include Success Factors, Taleo, PeopleSoft, etc.
  • Should be experienced in implementing and tracking team metrics and managing accountability
  • Ability to lead teams, drive engagement and promote a customer-service driven mind-set
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to include project management
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulatory bodies, i.e., JCAHO, CMS, HIPAA, etc.
  • Must also be familiar with OFCCP and EEOC
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and fully computer literate
  • Ability to partner with leadership to drive change and innovation from the top, down

 

Certification/Registration/Licensure

  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.
  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.
  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.
  • Prefer certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - OR - Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) - OR Certification as a Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) - OR - Certification as a Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified professional (SHRM-SCP) Prefer certification from the AIRS organization as a CIR (Certified Internet Recruiter).

 

Skills or Special Abilities

  • Must have an expert level of knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components to include, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence.
  • Must have a clear and thorough understanding of social media channels in a business environment, including such applications as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Foursquare.
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective supervisory skills and techniques.
  • Must have a wide degree of creativity, near and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization.
  • Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being adaptable and flexible.
  • Must have excellent project management, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to write blogs as well as post/comment with social networks.
  • Must be able to present new recruiting concepts to executive leadership and technical communities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to command the attention and respect of senior level leaders.
  • Must be able to develop business cases and service requirements, while creating and managing strategic alliances.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the recruitment process for a broad/deep range of positions.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the recruitment process on a national, multi-location level.
  • Must be able to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions to the optimal balance of meeting business needs, beating competitors, and operating within financial resource constraints.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Must have strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.
  • Must have good organizational and decision making skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to demonstrate intermediate computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the use of e-mail.
  • Must be Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases.
