Responsible for managing daily Radiology staff and unit activities to ensure the production of quality studies, quality patient care, and optimal outcomes.

 

Education:

- A Bachelor's degree in a health care field is preferred.

 

Experience:

- Must have eight years of experience as a Radiological Technologist.

 

Equivalent Education and/or Experience:

May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to subsititute for the experience requirements.

 

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

-Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

-Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

-Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

 

-Must have a current Texas Department of State Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification (MRT).

-Must have an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.

-Must have current healthcare provider CPR course completion card

 

Skills or Special Abilities:

- Must be capable of serving as a clinical/technical resource for staff.

- Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of assigned department operations including policies, personnel and budget management.

- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in working with a diverse population of physicians, patients, technical staff, management and administration.

-Must be capable of leadership and have effective organizational skills.

- Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
