Primary Purpose
Serves as a team lead to be responsible for monitoring, supervising, and inspiring a group of assigned technicians to create a cohesive team that works efficiently together to achieve the organization's objectives. The team leader leads, monitors, and supervises a group of employees to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization by using their knowledge and skills to achieve the shared goals to solve operational issues and motivate team members to achieve performance targets. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital. The schedule is subject to change as required.
Minimum Specifications
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of six years of Logistics/ Supply Chain Management, preferably in Healthcare Industry.
- Must have three years of progressive inventory control and PAR Management experience with a thorough knowledge of inventory practices and policies.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience:
- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
- Must have valid Texas Driver License

Skills or Special Abilities:
- Must have demonstrated ability leading others in the supply chain management department, leading special projects, and training employees on supply chain processes.
- Language Skills - Must read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as packing lists, delivery documents, bills of lading, invoice, or job orders. Must communicate effectively with co-workers and customers to respond to common inquires or complaints.
- Mathematical Skills - Use basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to such tasks as inventory control, material ordering, and job order verification.
- Reasoning Skills - Perceive problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions effectively.
- Work in fast paced healthcare environment, meeting, or exceeding customer requirements/expectations.
- Must be capable of leading or supervising the activities of others.
- Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department.
- Must have a thorough understanding of inventory control and PAR Management procedures.
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and work with job tools such as bar-code scanners, labeling equipment, materials management systems, printers, and RFID readers.

- Communicates effectively with subordinates and leaders to ensure clear, concise, and accurate information is being provided to accomplish tasks and assignments.
- Coordinates requests and recommendations from end user for changes and revisions to processes. This also includes building and layout of Supply PAR Carts for new clinical areas or special projects.
- Reporting
- Review and validate daily reports to stay abreast of supply status, monitors backorders and expedite subs through proactive steps to ensure resources are properly allocated. Research status of open purchase orders as necessary.
- Perform random checks on orders and totes to ensure the product is accurate and meets customer specifications. Notify appropriate departments of problems, if applicable.
- Directs employees engaged in inspection and conformance activities to ensure continuous accountability of purchase orders.
- Participate in meetings, special projects, and training sessions as required and report any safety hazards or on the job injuries to the Supervisor.
- Familiar with multiple computer platforms to interpret data and generate required reports.
- Day-to-Day Operational Duties
- Perform operations involving safety, quality, shipping, receiving, replenishing and material/inventory control objectives, and ensure the necessary documents are completed as required.
- Provide direction and oversight for a 24/7 supply chain operation to ensure extraordinary service is delivered to all staff, which directly affects the care they provide to our patients in our hospital.
- Meet operational demand by closely working with Supervisor to schedule meetings, align priorities, assign manpower, access material/inventory requirements, and review training needs.
- Work closely with all members of the Supply Chain team, clinical customers, and other Supply Chain departments to drive the success of corporate initiatives, organizational development and supporting the mission and core values of the organization.
- Delegate tasks to team members to achieve targets and goals.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions on conversions, recalls, safety and quality as required and report any safety hazards or on the job injuries to the Supervisor.
- Apply expertise to develop and improve operational efficiencies, drive key performances, and create solutions.
