Primary Purpose 

Assist with graphic design and help to develop and produce publications and collateral material for both internal and external audiences. Uses graphic design to promote the visibility and positive image of Parkland Health & Hospital System through application of the Parkland brand, related graphics standards and editorial content. 

 

Education: 

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or a related field. 

 

Experience: 

  • Must have at least two years of experience developing, designing, and creating illustrations/graphics and marketing communications collateral. 
  • Must have at least two years using Adobe Creative Suite for MacIntosh, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. 
  • Prefer one year of experience in marketing communications with knowledge of communications strategy and brand management. 
  • Prefer healthcare experience. 
  • Prefer photography skills. 

 

Equivalent Education and/or Experience: 

  • May have an equivalent combination of education and /or experience in lieu of specific education and / or experience as stated above. 

 

Skills or Special Abilities: 

  • Familiar with corporate brand standards. 
  • Top notch customer service skills. 
  • Must demonstrate, through work experience, successful translation of brand visualization to publications and collaterals. 
  • Must be able to spec artwork for print.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent computer skills, good organization, decision making skills and attention to detail. 
  • Must be able to work closely with marketing communications team and internal clients. 
  • Must be able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks. 
  • Must have good verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Must be sensitive to political, cultural, and legal issues affecting hospital system operation and be able to function independently and as a team member
