Primary Purpose Assisting with the efficient and effective management of the global end user enterprise computing platforms by developing the use of virtualization, maintaining a consistent OS image, driving efficiency in the end user experience and troubleshooting systemic issues across end user computing platforms.

 

Minimum Specifications Education  Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 

 

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Telecommunications.

 

Experience 

Must have either Desktop or Mobile device experience 

Desktop  Required: Two to three (2-3) years experience in a large, enterprise IT operations environment 

Two (2) years of experience maintaining Microsoft Windows operating system images and an understand of the packaging of software for enterprise deployment. 

Two (2) years of experience with Active Directory group policy troubleshooting and support. 

Two (2) years of experience with implementation and support of desktop virtualization (VDI) or Windows 10 deployment 

Experience building and troubleshooting Windows 10 is required 

Prefer experience with:  Building or managing virtual desktops  PowerShell  Enterprise deployment software  Packaging applications  ----OR----- 

Mobile Device  Required:

Two (2) years of experience supporting hardware and software used to deploy applications to mobile devices. 

Two (2) years of experience managing or troubleshooting mobile devices 

 

Experience with the following is highly desired:  Apple Business Manager  Android Enterprise  VMWare Suite  PowerShell skills  Intune configuration Equivalent Education and/or Experience  May have an equivalent combination of education, experience or technical certifications to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.

 

Certification/Registration/Licensure 

Prefer MCSA, MSTS or MCSE 

Prefer VMware WorkspaceOne certification Required Tests for Placement Skills or Special Abilities 

Must be knowledgeable in building Microsoft Windows endpoint master images and managingthe deployment of updates to those endpoints at an enterprise-wide level (desktop support and/orhelpdesk experience alone is inadequate). 

Must have some operational expertise in the delivery of IT operating systems and applications toend user devices. 

Must have some support expertise with desktop virtualization. 

Must have technical knowledge and demonstrated experience of Microsoft Windows operatingsystems 

Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with department personnel,user departments, and managers with regard to business needs and technical advancements. 

Must be able to prepare specifications and design documentation for programs that may have client server components. 

Must have a collaborative work style that includes and values the views of others in recommendations and decisions.

 

Responsibilities  Documents and supports desktop virtualization and all aspects of end user computing platforms, including hardware, operating systems, enterprise software, and peripheral upgrades in order to improve services provided to system users.  Supports technologies for the deployment of new applications, software packages, updates, and fixes to the end-user computing environment in a secure, efficient and user-friendly manner.  Serves as an escalation point for technical issues with regard to client-side application compatibility issues or user interface issues with endpoint devices.  Executes end user computing projects. Identifies, investigates, and advises on emerging technologies and products, and assess their suitability of use within the overall IT strategy.  Contributes as a key player to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of end user computing platforms by proposing and developing appropriate measures and operational support options. Job Accountabilities 1. Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland. 2. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices. 3. Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
