PRIMARY PURPOSE The Director of Grants Management will take primary ownership of significant and complex grants including related co-funded development activities. Key responsibilities are to: effectively manage resources; lead and coordinate all grant project personnel; manage and oversee relationships with partner organizations; consistently execute time sensitive grant deliverables; prepare financial and technical reports to granting bodies; develop strong relationships with and be responsive to grant agency oversight staff. Immediately this individual will assume responsibilities over the oversight, delivery and execution of PCCI¿s AHC grant and overtime take over responsibilities overseeing the delivery of other government-sponsored grants. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Education: - Must have Bachelor¿s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting or equivalent degree. - Advanced degree preferred. Experience: - Must have six years of experience which includes experience in writing and negotiating grant/contract proposals, reviewing awards and building a delivery plan, ensuring grant communication and compliance and working closely with program managers and partner organizations. - Five years of supervisory experience required. - Experience overseeing the delivery and execution of multi-year, complex projects that involves managing direct and in-direct reports, executing on specific milestones and targets, managing budgets and developing partnerships with a variety of external stakeholders and partners. - Proven ability to mentor and guide professional growth and development in the areas of grants management and project management. - Demonstrated ability to effectively present complex ideas to diverse audiences. - Ability to produce compliant grant and contract guidelines for program managers, and appropriate contract and grant templates for grants staff. - Demonstrated ability to build relationships with government agencies, donors, foundations and partners. - Strong understanding of cost principles and regulatory requirements, strong knowledge of U.S. Federal agency policies governing contracting regulations, including but not limited to the FAR, AIDAR, other specific federal agency rules/regulations and other federal standard provisions and administrative guidelines for USAID contracts. - Proven experience managing teams of grants staff in a multi-cultural setting. - Experience in project management and grants administration. - Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with partner hospital and community organizations in the development and delivery of project and/or grant requirements. Equivalent Education and/or Experience: - May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above. Certification/Registration/Licensure: - None. Skills or Special Abilities: - Must have demonstrated the ability to successfully manage complex, multi-year projects - Must have demonstrated grants management skills, and an extensive knowledge of state and federal grant regulations, laws and guidelines. - Must be able to demonstrate initiative, independent problem solving, organization and time management skills. - Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, project management and teamwork. - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. - Must be able to effectively supervise, educate, and train personnel. - Must be proficient with personal computers and use of spreadsheet, word processing and financial database management software. - Must be very adept at building partnerships and gaining buy in from senior level executives. - Must have both leadership abilities, but also a desire to get into the details and independently drive results.
