Oversees Quality & Safety-related training programs, education, and dissemination of key information. Leads the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of educational programs within the Division and throughout the Health System. Orchestrates dissemination of key learnings and action plans from quality and safety related events to all levels and areas throughout the Health System. Collaborates with corporate and nursing educational programs and personnel to promote quality and safety learning and integration of key information. Served as primary liaison for physician (faculty and resident) Quality and Safety Champions to support quality and safety education among providers throughout the care continuum.




- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.

- Prefer a Master's Degree in Education, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or a related field.



- Must have 7 years of adult education experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.

- Must have 5 years of progressive management/leadership experience leading teams with responsibilities for design, development and implementation of educational strategies, blended learning and evaluation, or organizational systems. Strong emphasis will be placed on leading program and course development using e-learning software and tools for classroom training.

- 2 years' experience related to healthcare quality and safety strongly preferred.


Equivalent Education and/or Experience:

- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.



- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or obtained within 18 months of employment.

- Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.A: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

- Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.HCB: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

- Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) or obtain within 30 days of placement in role.

- Demonstrates in depth knowledge of Lean Methodologies, Just Culture Principles and High Reliability Concepts as they relate to healthcare.

- Demonstrates superior emotional intelligence, verbal and written communication skills, facilitation skills and presentation skills.

- Demonstrates ability to work effectively as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team structure.

- Demonstrates superior problem solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking.

- Demonstrates superior interpersonal skills, integrity and ethics.

- Demonstrates excellent ability to work effectively with all types of colleagues, both horizontally and vertically.

- Demonstrates ability to develop and implement large, system-wide initiatives within a complex care continuum.

- Demonstrates superior organizational, time-management and analytical skills.

- Possesses excellent working knowledge of MS Office software.

- Must be able to work effectively in an intense, complex, fast-paced environment.
