Primary Purpose

Parkland Community Health Plan’s (PCHP’s) Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for digital marketing from strategy development through execution either in-house or through working with agency partners. This person must be well versed in current digital platforms – SEO, PPC, email, digital media, social media, website – and able to create integrated plans in coordination with offline media. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, this position is responsible for ensuring digital content meets all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and State of Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) guidelines.

 

Minimum Specifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, digital marketing, or related field.

 

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience in healthcare, managed care insurance or financial services preferred, but not required.
  •  

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

  • May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience to substitute for both the education/experience requirements.

 

Skills or Special Abilities

  • Strong understanding of user experience and digital design practices to increase conversion, engagement, and task completion rates.
  • Excellent project management skills and proven ability to collaborate among a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Must have a demonstrated knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other related programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital media, platform best practices, and analytic tools.
  • Develop and monitor digital marketing budget.
  • Plan and manage social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Evaluate performance metrics for digital channels to enhance conversions and user experience.
  • Connect with different audiences who have varying interests and perspectives through executing branded content strategies across multiple marketing and communication channels.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have ability to write in both a corporate communications and conversational tone.
  • Must be sensitive to political, cultural, and legal issues affecting healthcare space and be able to function independently and as a team member.
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills, strong organizational, and decision-making skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and apply critical thinking and analysis on projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and time constraints.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages digital agency to plan and execute all web, SEO, PPC, database marketing, email, social media, and digital advertising campaigns.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains organic social media presence.
  • Measures, analyzes, and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against established KPIs.
  • Maintains and improves the design, UX, traffic, and content of the website.
  • Creates email blast campaigns and reports on performance.
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.
  • Collaborates with agencies and other vendor partners.

 

Job Accountabilities

  1. Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
  2. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
  3. Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
