Distinct from nursing, medicine and pharmacy, Parkland’s allied health professionals make the health care system function by providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and support services that are critical to the other health professionals they work with and the patients they serve.
Parkland’s allied health professionals are experts in a multitude of therapeutic, diagnostic and preventive health interventions and function in several diverse settings including disease prevention and control, dietary and nutritional services, mental and physical health promotion, rehabilitation and health systems management.
