Advanced Practice Jobs
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) play a vital role in healthcare today. Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Physician Assistants and Nurse Midwives are critical members of the multi-disciplinary team at Parkland. There are currently Advanced Practice Providers who are caring for patients throughout Parkland Health, including primary care, specialty clinics, emergency observation area, trauma, the operating room, intensive care and other inpatient areas. Parkland recognizes the value that each of these professionals brings to the care of our patients. We have multiple outstanding programs that involve larger numbers of APPs.
The Global Diabetes Service is a dynamic group of Providers who work with two physicians, providing specialty care for our diabetic patients in the community, the on-campus specialty clinic, as well as in the in-patient area. We have developed a new collaborative program in Oncology, with Advanced Practice Providers as key members of this group. We could not function without our wonderful Women’s Health APPs who provide family planning, gynecology and prenatal services for the majority of our patients! We also have smaller practices where one or two Advanced Practice Providers work within a specialty team. Parkland provides a dynamic work environment where APPs are encouraged to grow through participation in professional activities.
