Define and Focus Your Healthcare Career Goals in the Collegiate Fellows Program.

The Parkland Collegiate Fellow Program is designed for those undergraduate students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to work in a healthcare setting. The practical experience gained from the program is intended to complement the academic training received throughout the school year.

And because of Parkland’s international reputation for excellence, the program strives to share that excitement with tomorrow’s healthcare professionals. Students work full-time taking an active role in the service delivery process, all while under the supervision of a mentor. Activities also include tours of various departments and meetings with hospital administrators and medical staff—there’s a new experience around every corner!

Requirements/Eligibility

  • Undergraduates with a minimum 30 hours of college work
  • Dallas County Resident or Surrounding Areas
  • A serious commitment to a career in healthcare, healthcare administration, accounting, or finance

The deadline to apply is in February, for a June start date.  Applications for the 2010 Collegiate Fellows Progam will be available in November.

Everyone at Parkland is very supportive and willing to take people under their wings to help and teach. I am very thankful to be here, and the experience I’ve gained has been priceless.
