Over a century ago, Parkland Hospital started as a clapboard building on the corner of Maple and Oak Lawn avenues. Today, we're on the threshold of a 2.5-million-square-foot facility slated to open in 2014. Yes, in our storied history, Parkland has undergone some changes. But one thing has never changed: a tradition of providing outstanding public health care in Dallas.
At the heart of every great city is a great public hospital. For Dallas, that hospital is Parkland. Our health system has been part of the lifeblood of our city since 1894. But our greatness comes from more than our longevity. It comes from having a talented, passionate staff that keeps us moving forward, always improving the quality of care. Every one of our employees makes us an institution of compassion. Every one of our professionals is Parkland. I am honored and humbled to be a part of that.
Dr. Ron Anderson
President and CEO
The day-to-day excellence of our staff sets us apart. Parkland has been consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the best hospitals in America since 1994. And Solucient has named Parkland a "Top 100 Hospital" and recognized Parkland for superior financial and clinical performance.
But the ultimate measure isn't found in awards or recognition. It's found in the satisfaction we get from serving the people of Dallas. Join us and be a part of this legacy of caring at Parkland.
